SoftWave Therapy at U.P. Kinetics

U.P. Kinetics primarily uses the FDA-cleared OrthoGold system from SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technologies to treat pain noninvasively.

This therapy delivers electrohydraulic acoustic sound waves through an external applicator, similar to an ultrasound. These patented waves penetrate tissue and convert mechanical stimulation into cellular responses that support the body’s natural healing processes.

Key therapeutic effects include:

Before beginning treatment, patients complete a consent form to determine suitability.

SoftWave therapy should not be administered to individuals who:

  • Have received a cortisol or cortisone injection within the past 30 days

  • Are currently taking a prescription-strength NSAID

  • Use a pacemaker

  • Have active cancer or a skin infection

  • Are pregnant

Full Body Red Light Therapy

U.P. Kinetics offers full body 600-700nm red light combined with 800-900nm near-infrared light for pain and inflammation.

Current research shows that red light therapy acts on mitochondria, an important factor for controlling inflammation. Studies show that red light therapy improves inflammation and the pain that it causes, and that it may also improve muscle recovery time.

UPK’s vertical red light panels are fixed in an open-sided cedar booth within a private room. Panels are 26 inches wide, 76 inches tall, and stand 40 inches apart, providing sufficient coverage for a truly enveloping standalone experience, or as a compliment to SoftWave TRT.

The standard 10 and 20 minute sessions typically don’t cause excessive perspiration, so it’s perfect between errands or on a lunch break.
